"Indy Hauler" GMC Trucks(Yes I know this is not particular to Buick but it is interesting information concerning GM and the 1975 Indy 500 race.) In addition to pace cars, General Motors has also used the GMC Truck line to promote their trucks as well. And yes there was a special Indy edition in 1975. See image below.
The GMC Truck model used in 1975 was most likely (because I don't know for sure) a 1/2 ton two-wheel-drive G1500. The Indy Hauler was more or less just an appearance package. It is unknown whether it had any special interior treatment. And even though the 400ci V8 was available for GMC trucks in 1975, it is unknown whether that motor made its way into the Indy Hauler edition.
